I Found him crawling across my floor, so I had to take the opportunity to make him pose for me. Spiders are pretty easy to work with because they get mad that your fuckin with them and they get into their attack position. I have a bunch of other shots with this one, but he was alittle unlucky beacuse of my stupidity. I after some shots i decided to put him underneath a shot glass, and then the lighting in my room is bad(fluresant) so i took out a more powerful light...This light gets really hot, and he was inside of the shot glass with no ventelation......yeahhhh he didnt move too much after those shots...so i brought him outside to use natural light and just took some shots of him all shriveled up upside down. I felt bad too because I was origionally gonna kill him because he was in my room, but then i had the idea to take some pictures then eventually let him go. But no...i killed it. so after everything i put it into a plastic bag because i was going to take more pictures of it later on and i came home from work today(24 hours later) and he was moving around, so i took more pictures(this is one of them) and let it go, but I think it had a few broken legs, i guess thats not too bad considering he still has 5 more good ones, anyway, i hope you enjoy the picture, I put him through a lot of shit.

yeah, but its a shame that i put him through all of that just to get a good picture( i dont know if you read the novel that i wrote...heh) , it was my first time working with an insect so maybe next time i'll be more gentle
:iconsunrunner68:
Oh he'll survive if he's not eaten by a bird or used as a nursery by a parasitic wasp. Most insects I try to shoot in the environment I find them in. If they are a slow mover (as in my roly poly) I'll bring them into the ghetto studio for a photo shoot. Good luck with your macros.... You've got a good start.

I have another shot with him, it looks cool, its like hes a cartoon character or something. Theres so much personality in his face. I dont know I might put it up

Do it, as much as it will make me shudder and cringe..show it! Lol
:iconbradwick:
wow that's cool i think i'll go down stairs and talk to you about it

this both fascinates and distresses me. The thought of getting that close to a spider for a photo makes me shudder, maybe one day I'll get used to it. :) very good work.
